TROUBLESHOOTING · JAVA + BEDROCK

Can't connect?
Start here.

Follow these practical checks when Redgully isn't appearing or Minecraft refuses the connection.

CHECK 01

Confirm your edition

Java Edition: open Multiplayer, choose Add Server and enter redgully.com. Java normally uses the default TCP Minecraft port; you do not need to append the Bedrock port.

Bedrock Edition: on a supported client, use the Add Server option and enter redgully.com with 19132 as the UDP port.

CHECK 02

Use the correct server address

Copy redgully.com without a leading URL, spaces or path. For Bedrock, put the port in the separate port field instead of the address field.

Java: redgully.com · Bedrock: redgully.com / UDP 19132

CHECK 03

Look at your game version

An outdated or unsupported Minecraft version can trigger an incompatible protocol message. Update to a version currently supported by the network and retry. The supported range can change with server upgrades, so ask in Discord if Minecraft still reports a version mismatch.

CHECK 04

Don't install unnecessary mods

Redgully's land claims, ranks, trading and other Vanilla+ additions are provided server-side. No special client modpack is required to join; a compatible unmodified client is a good troubleshooting baseline.

CHECK 05

Know the console limitations

Some PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions of Bedrock do not provide a normal custom-server field. Third-party workarounds can vary by device and update, and we cannot guarantee every console can connect.

CHECK 06

Still receiving a timeout?

Check that your own internet connection works, restart Minecraft and retry the saved server entry. If the issue continues, tell staff your Minecraft edition, client version and exact error message. Do not share account passwords or private authentication codes.

AFTER YOU CONNECT

Choose Survival from the hub.

Use the server selector to enter Redgully Survival, then /rtp to explore and /claim when you find a place to build. New players can use the first-hour walkthrough for a short introduction.
