THE SHORT ANSWER

Vanilla Survival.
With useful extras.

Redgully keeps normal Survival at the centre, with persistent builds, claimed land, earned progression and trading between players.

WHERE

Australia-hosted Minecraft multiplayer, designed primarily for local players but open to players elsewhere.

EDITIONS

Java and supported Bedrock clients join the same Survival world using redgully.com (Bedrock UDP 19132).

DIFFICULTY

Vanilla Hard Survival—not creative plots or an inventory-full-of-free-items lobby.

PROTECTION

Custom land claims protect builds and storage. The first claim can establish a home automatically.

COMPANIONS

Ordinary nametags protect owned, tamed animals from normal damage. Pet guide.

PROGRESSION

Eight ranks from Wanderer to Legacy; playtime, advancements and milestone goals all contribute.

TRADING

Diamonds underpin player buy and sell orders. A physical marketplace is a community project to unlock.

HONEST EXPECTATIONS

Who will enjoy
Redgully?

Decide by how you like to play rather than a list of buzzwords.

BUILDERS

You want land protection

Claim your builds with a golden shovel, earn additional claim blocks by playing, and add trusted friends to build together. The goal is long-term projects rather than restarting every session. Server data and worlds still require normal maintenance, so this is not a guarantee that resets can never occur.

EXPLORERS

You like normal Survival challenges

Play on Vanilla Hard, travel into other dimensions, gather rare equipment and complete Minecraft advancements. Use /rtp to find somewhere new and the live BlueMap to explore the world before setting out.

PROGRESSION PLAYERS

You enjoy a longer goal

Ranks are not a payment tier. The progression ladder includes Wanderer, Settler, Resident, Established, Veteran, Elder, Ancient and Legacy. Legacy is a 2,500-hour long-term target with other requirements beyond the timer.

TRADERS

You prefer player supply and demand

The economy revolves around physical diamonds and player buy/sell orders, rather than an unlimited server shop. The physical marketplace itself is unlocked by community contributions, so don't confuse it with the existing trading commands.

CROSS-PLAY FRIENDS

Your group uses two Minecraft editions

Compatible Java and Bedrock clients can share the same world through the network. Bedrock players need UDP port 19132. Some consoles do not offer a native custom-server field, and workarounds are not guaranteed.

CASUAL PLAYERS

You want a place to start without memorising plugins

The Navigator compass brings claims, ranks, records, First Steps, voting and help into menus. The optional /firststeps guide covers the basics; you can learn the systems gradually while you play.

WHO MIGHT PREFER SOMETHING ELSE?

Not every Minecraft
server is for everyone.

If you primarily want Creative mode, a minigame network, heavily modded dimensions, instant max-rank perks or a fast reset cycle, Redgully is probably not your best match. Its focus is long-term Vanilla+ Survival with gradual progress.

Claims protect building areas, but the world retains normal Survival challenges. The community is growing, so don't expect the size or constant activity of an established mega-network. Current player activity is best checked through the player portal and in-game.

If you are overseas, the server is still joinable, but Australian hosting may mean higher ping. Latency depends on your own network route and can't be guaranteed by a website estimate.

QUESTIONS BEFORE JOINING

Direct answers.

What is the IP for Redgully?

On Java Edition, add redgully.com in Multiplayer. On supported Bedrock clients, use redgully.com with UDP port 19132. Both enter the same network.

Is Redgully an Australian Minecraft SMP?

Yes. The server is hosted in Australia and focused on Vanilla+ Survival with land claims, earned ranks and player trading.

Is Redgully a pay-to-win rank server?

Survival progression ranks are earned through playtime, milestones and advancements; higher survival ranks cannot be purchased. Read the full rank ladder to understand the requirements.

Is Redgully pure vanilla?

No. It's Vanilla+ Survival: normal Minecraft Hard difficulty with server-side quality-of-life features, land claims, community goals and trading. No dedicated client modpack is required.

Can I play with friends on Bedrock?

Yes, on supported Bedrock clients. Compatibility varies by device and Minecraft version; consoles may need extra setup. See the Bedrock guide.

Will my builds be protected?

Claim your land with the custom golden-shovel system and manage trusted players. Only land inside a valid claim is protected by that system; ordinary Survival dangers still apply.
